As the concentrations of Vitamin A & C increases in the Skin EssentiA Vitamin STEP-UP-SYSTEM of moisturisers consumers are advised to follow the Skin EssentiA Vitamin STEP-UP-SYSTEM guidelines.

It is important to follow the sequence of these strengths as this enables your skin to acclimatise to the progressive strengths of vitamin A and avoids potential retinoid reactions.

Pregnancy Caution:

• With the exception of the Body EssentiA Tri-Complex Contouring Cream, all Environ® products are safe for use during pregnancy
• Environ® has always had strong scientific evidence that its products containing vitamin A are safe during both pregnancy and lactation, and we are pleased to see regulations finally reflecting the science on this front
• Dr Des Fernandes advises that once Vitamin A is absorbed in the skin, humans do not have the enzyme system to transfer Vitamin A to the bloodstream.
• However, Dr Des Fernandes also advises that during pregnancy the skin’s response to cosmetics may temporarily change creating higher levels of skin sensitivity, particularly in the first trimester due to fluctuating hormones
• Therefore, during pregnancy, should you choose to continue with use of topical Vitamin A skincare from Environ, we advise the use of lower levels of vitamin A if the skin is sensitive

Sunburn Alert:

• This product does not contain a sunscreen. Environ recommends safe sun practice and protection and all times, use broad spectrum sunscreen, wear protective clothing and limit sun exposure

Eye Warning: 

• Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product accidentally gets into the eye, rinse carefully with tepid water

If any irritation is experienced, discontinue use. Consult your skin care professional and/or physician, if the irritation persists.

• Use Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 5 only once the skin is comfortable with Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 4
• Thoroughly pre-cleanse, cleanse and tone with your preferred Environ products
• Apply 1-2 pumps of Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 5 to the face, neck and décolleté, also include eyes and lips
• Use morning and evening
• In the morning apply an SPF such as RAD SPF15 or Alpha Day Lotion SPF15 over the Vita-Antioxidant AVST Moisturiser 5

Recommended STEP-UP-SYSTEM for Skin EssentiA Vitamin Moisturisers:

Important Note: You must ensure that the skin is comfortable and has acclimatised to the vitamin A levels in your current moisturiser before progressing to the next level. As you progress through the higher levels of Vitamin A, introduce the next level SLOWLY.

Maintain the regime. If you allow it to lapse you will simply need to restart your routine at a lower level. If you have lapsed for longer than a year, Environ recommend you start again at the lowest level.

Always consult your Skin Care Prefessional before progressing from one Step-Up level to the next.
